Details
This model boasts a short hip length coat, high-waisted long-legged breeches, and a cloak of matching colour and fabric. In this period, men had long curled hair and used broad brimmed hats. The coat is narrow shouldered, gently waisted (high), and usually buttoned at the throat. Full, open sleeves terminate in one or more cuffs. A deep falling collar, covering the shoulders in very large points or scallops of punto-in-aria lace, is tied high under the chin. Spanish breeches are hooked to the coat lining or self-supporting with a buttoned centre front opening and are long, narrow and tubular in form. They terminate below the knee, where they are trimmed with ribbon loops; braids and buttons also decorate the outside of the leg.
The cape is circular.
